This is a supplement to Article A3, Salary differentials for Christian staff. It is a critique of the General Synod report on this topic.
It examines the report as a whole, the idea of reward, double payment, the counter-culture model, the definition of stipend and child allowance. The conclusion is that the synod report's arguments for paying differentials are highly questionable.

This item has been updated in November 2023 although the report itself is now over 20 years old. Not much appears to have changed since the report was written, however.
